The Light Opera Company is a nonprofit organization, and none of its participants are paid. There are no dues or other membership fees. Scripts, scores and staging books will be provided at no expense to performers; participants will dress primarily in black during the show, and will be asked to provide their own clothes for this purpose. Transportation costs are at the participants’ expense.
Instructions
Auditions will begin at 7:30 with an approximate 30 minute informational session for parents of auditioning children.
Children will be asked to read a short passage of dialog and sing one verse of a song of their choosing.

Rehearsal Dates
REHEARSALS will be held in Merrick or East Meadow on Tuesday or Thursday nights, from 7:30 to 10 p.m. There will be approximately 10 rehearsals between October 1 and December 12. (A full rehearsal schedule will be released on October 8.) Parents may attend rehearsals, but may not participate.
