The event will take place during the day on September 28th at Stony Brook University.

I am looking for one or two strong women to portray these characters.

The actors receive $100 for the day.

FREDDY (lead):  an average-built man of 30-36; nice-looking, soft-spoken, with a slightly strange, occasionally childlike affect, a deep gentleness, an eccentric, hopeful sensibility. Afflicted with a number of nervous infirmities, but kind, courageous, intelligent, determined – a man on a mission.

SELENA (lead):  a pretty, slender woman of 24-30, wearing the standard flowing garments, headband, and exotic jewelry of a phony storefront psychic. She has a tough, sometimes sarcastic exterior; a sensitive, impulsive interior that hides some inner damage. With an innocence somehow preserved under all this, she is a play-it-as-it-comes young woman, living always on thin ice and desperate for a life that makes sense.

GRANDMA (supporting):  a strong, down-to-earth, 80-year old woman with much vitality and a gritty, kind, pragmatic personality. She is in slowly declining health but still driven to do the work this world needs done, especially caring for vulnerable children. A survivor of European horrors as a child, she is a tough but loving matriarch, a frail but powerful woman. A faint East-European accent is helpful.”
