Step into Christmas – at Dance Connection Theatrical

The Old Man (male, age 30+) – The owner of the hardware shop on the street where the Morrison’s car breaks down. Kindly but a little mysterious. You get the sense there’s more going on with him than meets the eye.

Rehearsals: 5-6 Rehearsals in November/December 2018 (schedule somewhat flexible).

Mandatory Dates: Studio Rehearsal 12/8, Dress Rehearsal 12/9. Studio rehearsals will be held at Dance Connection in Islip, NY.  Dress rehearsal at CM Performing Arts Center in Oakdale, NY.

Theater 294 is looking for a director and three men, any age over about 20 and any ethnicity, to appear in a short farce set in a Chinese restaurant. The play will be performed on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday November 16, 17, and 18 at 8pm, 8pm, and 3pm. It will air as part of a one act festival at Theater 294 in Farmingdale. Master of Ceremonies auditions for the 2019 Long Island Community Theatre Lighthouse Awards will be taking place at Star Playhouse/SYJCC (74 Hauppauge Road, Commack) on Tuesday, November 6 and Monday, November 12, 2019 from 7pm-9pm.

Bradley – the imposing aggressive second son, who has been emasculated by the loss of his leg in a chainsaw accident. Late 20s-Late 30s.

Father Dewis – a Protestant minister in his sixties who enjoys drinking, and is carrying on in a not-so secret affair with Halie.

The Long Island Musical Theatre Festival will be collaborating with The Argyle Theatre on the Long Island premiere of The Hunchback of Notre Dame.  We will be recruiting and preparing the onstage choir. This opportunity is open to students in grades 9-12, as well as Collegiate and Community Choir members. We are looking for strong musicians, preferably with moderate to advanced sight reading skills who can sing in varying styles. Details can be found on our website at www.limtf.org.
