2019 Long Island Community Theatre Awards?
Many Long Island community theatre members have expressed an interest in having an awards show similar to the Tony Awards. We are curious whether this would be of interest to you!
Similar to the Tony Awards, the Long Island Community Theatre awards would be held at a local venue and would recognize achievements in acting, directing, sound, etc. Individuals and theatres do not have to be VTAA members to attend, participate, vote, or win an award.
Just like other award shows, we would have a special award to recognize community theatre actors/staff not located in the Long Island area. As you can see, we have many details to work out and are willing and eager to bring this to fruition if you are interested so please let us know! Also let us know if you would like to be on the planning committee!
Community Reform Temple of Westbury, NY is seeking musical acts for its annual Coffee House fundraiser on Saturday, February 17, 2018. Pay is minimal (as in none), but the audience is enthusiastic and karma is good. Acts should be appropriate for a coffee house like setting. Please call David Rosenberg at 516-334-6636.
