ShowA Christmas Story

NotesAvailability for ALL performances required. Roles will be double cast but actors must be available to cover performances assigned to the other cast.
InstructionsAll auditionees will sing and dance at the audition. Please prepare 16 bars in the style of the show (you may sing from A Christmas Story) and bring dance clothes, character shoes AND tap shoes - all children will tap. Details and character breakdown are below. If unable to attend the audition on September 11, please send a headshot and resume to Vic DiMonda at vdimonda@engemantheater.com. You may also include a video with a vocal selection and/or a Tap Dance video.

Ralphie ParkerM8-13Young dreamer and schemer. To play 9- 10. Must be under 5? tall with an unchanged voice. A regular boy with a strong presence and an honest actor. Carries the show.
RandyM6-9(May be Double Cast): Ralphie's younger, smaller brother. Cute and off beat but a serious headache. Also, must sing with an unchanged voice.
Scut FarkasM8-13(May be Double Cast): The schoolyard bully who routinely torments Ralphie and friends.
Children'S EnsembleM/F8-13(All Roles will be Double Cast): Kids are all Ralphie's friends. Boys and Girl with unchanged voices to play children in Ralphie's neighborhood and school. Understudies will come from the Ensemble.
