EMERGENCY AUDITION for role in Long Island Children’s Muesum for Gerald in Elephant and Piggie – We are in a Play. Day time gig and paid. Sing, comic movement, and light dance. Auditions on Monday Janaury 20th, 2020 at 10 AM to Noon at Long Island Children’s Museum. Fantastic opportunity to be the love of 100’s of children. Contact jpackard@licm.org with questions.

Rehearsal Dates: January 27th – February 10th, 2020 DAYTIME

Instructions: Bring sheet music of comic number, short comic monologue. Be ready to move. Suggest reading a couple of Elephant and Piggie books by Mo Willems to get flavor of role

Notes: Performances are well sold and great opportunity. This is lead and will require attendance at all performances and rehearsals. Most performances days are complete by 2:00 PM (there are a couple of exceptions) Will share detailed schedule at audtion so bring you calendar

Seeking singing actresses age 16-25 for featured roles.  Also needed: children 8 and up for both ensemble and featured roles and good adult singers, male and female, to fill out the ensemble in this big, fun, family-friendly musical.  Auditioners will be asked to sing a cappella and read from the script.

BRAD (male, 45-55, slim to medium build, any ethnicity, non-union) is a middle aged, well-dressed, narcissistic lawyer-type. His motto is “The best defense is an offense,” but deep down he’s a coward. He directs a volley of emotional abuse at his wife because she wants a divorce.

Running Scared, Running Free is an Award-winning suspenseful and inspiring story set in 1850, the year the Fugitive Slave Act was imposed.. The dramatic story tells of Dorcas, a quick-witted and resourceful runaway slave from South Carolina who is being tracked and hunted by a ruthless Bounty Hunter determined to capture her to be returned to the callous plantation owner.

We are looking for a strong, confident African-American actress to portray the defiant and resourceful Dorcas.
