DescriptionDaisy Werthan, a fiercely, independent, southern, Jewish widow is forced to give up driving when her son, Boolie employs an African American, Hoke Colburn, to be her chauffeur. In a series of scenes spanning 25 years, the relationship between Daisy and Hoke grows as they deal with the issues of prejudice, acceptance, and eventual love and respect that still resonates today.
