The Woodside Players of Queens are seeking actors for their spring production of “Aunt Maggie’s Will”, a 1910 play by Mary Elizabeth Gale, to take place on April 14th at noon, at a theater to be announced later. The script calls for 10 females, but we are open to gender blind casting in this comedy. The ZEN Room, LI's Rocky Horror Picture Show shadowcast, seeks actors for ensemble roles for our Halloween show at Patchogue Theater for the Performing Arts on Sat, Oct 28 at 8pm. You need to be available from 3pm until about midnight the day of the show, and there will be some Sat night rehearsals in the weeks leading up to the show. Smithtown Center for the Performing Arts is accepting letters of interest via email and snail mail for its 2017/18 season. Submissions can be forwarded to submissions@smithtownpac.org or by snail mail to – 2 E Main St, Smithtown NY 11787.
Upon receipt of your submission you will be contacted via email to advise you of our interest and to either invite you to a closed or open audition. Submissions should be in the form of a letter (accompanied by a resume and head shot – DO NOT SEND VIDEO SUBMISSIONS AT THIS TIME). Include in your submission – show(s) you are interested in, parts you feel you are right for, any rehearsal and/or performance conflicts you might be aware of, and any other pertinent info you feel is important to your submission. Rehearsals will begin approx 6 wks prior to the scheduled opening of each show. All shows rehearse Mon - Wed eve, some Thurs eve and some Sat & Sun. Tech weeks begin two weeks prior to Sat openings. We rehearse every weekday evening leading up to opening and some weekend days. Performance schedules are available at Smithtownpac.org. (Click on the “Buy Tickets” prompt for each show to see complete schedule). Most performers receive a stipend, 16-18-yr-olds receive a fixed stipend for the run. Over 18 receive a per performance stipend. Under 16 years old DO NOT receive a stipend. Actors’ Equity contracts are available under a Guest Artist Contract basis. We do not participate in EMB programs. NOTE: UNDER 16 YEAR OLDS INTERESTED IN OLIVER! DO NOT NEED TO SUBMIT A LETTER OF INTEREST. Adrenaline Entertainment, a Long Island based children's entertainment seeks entertainers for our events. We are willing to train you! Events are Long Island and Queens based. We will teach you the appropriate show, face painting and balloons. You would be girly clowns, princesses and other characters. Compensation: $50 for an hour event . The most fun job around! Make what people make in a week in 2 days.
