The Community Playhouse of Northport is seeking a Production Manager for its upcoming production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella. Rehearsals begin 2/28/23. Show dates are April 28th-30th and May 5th-7th. Our Main Stage theater is located at 158 Laurel Avenue, Northport. The Production Manager is the “hands of the show” in coordination with the Stage Manager and Director. They will work with the production team to secure and paint scenery. They will also be responsible for the coordination of the stage crew for rehearsals and work nights, They will also oversee the acquisition and or creation of props. During show performances, they will manage the scenery and prop table and provide support to the SM and crew on Stage Left.
The position will run approximately 1-2 per week as needed until April. Starting 4/10 they will likely be needed 3-4 days per week. (Mon-Thurs). 6:30-9:30. Dress rehearsals begin 4/24. This is a stipend position.
The Southampton Cultural Center (SCC) is seeking stagehands to join our team. We are seeking technicians with experience in all fields (Lighting, Sound, Video). Having experience in multiple fields is a plus. Southampton Cultural Center operates all year around with Main Stage Productions, Dance Recitals, Concerts, Events, and more. The SCC provides performance, exhibition, and compelling arts and cultural educational opportunities accessible to all in the greater Southampton Community.
Qualifications:
- Must Have 1-2 Years’ experience
- Must be comfortable on Ladders
- Must be able to take direction
- Good attitude and ability to work with other staff and with clients to achieve a high-quality final product.
- Experience with safely installing and striking equipment.
- Pay: $20-$25hr based on experience
